Institutional-grade lending and tokenization, on-chain.

Lomba is a multi-chain smart contract and token management platform with a working Lombard lending product built on top. Borrow stablecoins against crypto collateral, with KYC and KYT built into the contracts, not bolted on after.

The problem

Institutions face two separate gaps in tokenized finance. First, issuing and managing tokenized assets across chains means dealing with fragmented, chain-specific tooling. Second, borrowing against crypto collateral — standard practice in traditional wealth management — usually means either building compliance from scratch or using protocols that were never built to bank standards.

Most on-chain lending treats KYC and KYT as an afterthought. We built ours into the contract layer from day one.

The platform

01

A multi-chain foundation

Lomba's contract and token management layer runs live on Ethereum and Solana. It supports ERC-20, ERC-721, and CMTAT, the Swiss standard for regulated tokenized assets. A bank can start by registering and interacting with existing contracts, or deploy and control their own — without switching platforms.

02

Lombard lending, built on top

On Solana, Lomba runs a working Lombard lending product. A borrower posts crypto collateral and draws a stablecoin loan. KYC and transaction screening run through compliance modules built directly into the contracts.

03

Composable by design

Start with a basic token smart contract and add regulatory modules for the jurisdiction you operate in — EU, Switzerland, Singapore, Hong Kong. Helper contracts handle on-chain KYC and KYT, so compliance logic ships with the contract, not as a separate integration project.

04

Standard API for your systems

The backend layer connects to your existing infrastructure through a standard API, so your engineering team integrates it the way they'd integrate any other service.

Compliance, built in

Every transaction on Lomba runs through the same compliance layer that handles onboarding: KYC at the identity level, KYT at the transaction level, and jurisdiction-specific rules enforced by the contract itself.

KYC is live in our demo today. KYT is currently mocked for the proof of concept — connecting it to a real-world provider is our next milestone.

Why we built this

Lomba's developer built institutional token infrastructure at a leading Swiss wealth manager before starting this product. That work covered architecture, Solidity development, contract auditing, and integrating token services into core banking systems over Kafka.

We're applying that same experience to Lombard lending: bank-grade compliance and audit standards, applied to a product category that's still mostly running on unaudited, custom code.
